PowerGoodies lets EV drivers donate reward points to charity
PowerGoodies, the rewards programme for electric drivers, is today launching a new feature that lets users donate their saved points to charity. With PowerGoodies, EV drivers earn points with every charging session at the charging station, simply by charging with their charge card. Whereas those points could previously only be spent on gift cards, the charge card app now offers the option to donate their monetary value.
Via the "Donations" tab, the user chooses a charity, selects an amount and confirms the donation with a single tap. All transaction costs associated with the donation are paid by PowerGoodies. As a result, the full donated amount, without deductions, is transferred directly to the charity chosen by the user.
How does it work?
Users can choose from a growing range of charities, including Jantje Beton, Alzheimer Nederland, Utrechts Landschap and Speelgoedbank Zeeland. After donating, the user receives a confirmation and can share the contribution to inspire others to contribute as well.

"As a loyalty and rewards programme for EV drivers, PowerGoodies wants to give users the freedom to put their rewards towards something that truly matters," says Markus Jong of PowerGoodies BV. "Every charging session at the charging station thus becomes not only advantageous, but also meaningful."
The donation feature was made possible in collaboration with donation platform Geef.nl. "From today, every charging session can deliver more than just extra kilometres; it can also contribute to a better society," says John Burggraaff of Geef.nl. "This collaboration shows how innovation can connect different worlds.
PowerGoodies rewards sustainable charging behaviour, while Geef.nl ensures that this reward easily finds its way to affiliated charities. This creates a new and accessible model in which sustainable action and social engagement reinforce each other."
Social impact
The new feature underlines PowerGoodies' ambition to grow into more than a rewards programme: a platform that links electric driving and charging to social impact.
